Go to: Advanced Payroll > Payroll Setup > Accruals tab
- A "calculated accrual" function is available in payroll setup. Check the new "Percent" checkbox and set Hours to 2.50% for 1 hour for every 40 hours worked or higher. Hours worked computation is based on L&I setting.
- Set accrual cap to carryover (minimum 40) and Exceed to "Warning".
If policy does not limit the hours to be carried over, remove the cap and Exceed to "Yes".
If the employee is not using L&I hours, the automated calculation can not be used.
- Assign the sick leave accrual to an employee with the "zero" accrual.
The employee needs to have L&I hours recorded on the paycard for the calculation to work correctly.
